Chimney Flue Systems for Stoves and Fireplaces

Chimney flue systems are made from various materials including bricks, refractory ceramics & steel and are an integral part of a stove or fireplace functioning optimally and safely. Stoveindia represents world class chimney flue manufacturers and work with clients/architects/suppliers to generate detailed 3D drawings of chimney systems before importing customised flue systems. Flue systems for stoves and fireplaces are manufactured in Stainless Steel, Galvanised Steel, Flexible Stainless Steel, Vitreous Enamelled Steel, Double Wall and Triple Wall Insulated Stainless Steel and Double Walled Special Exterior finishes like copper. The various parts and accessories that form a flue system are too many to list. Therefore, Stoveindia first understands the clients requirements, their budget and then formulates a recommendation. Typically, an imported single story chimney system in single wall Stainless Steel with assorted clamps & accessories is Rs 75,000 and a double walled flue system is Rs 150,000. Each additional floor raises the cost by approximately Rs 30,000 for single wall and Rs 60,000 for double wall flues. Stoveindia also fabricate chimney flues from mild steel, powder coated (which is not as temp resistant as Vitreous Enamel of the imported flues) locally and these are sold with a CAVEAT (please read below) and are typically priced from Rs 30,000 to 45,000 for a single story installation single wall flue system in mild steel. Please note that prices are indicative as on Dec 2021 and are subject to revision, taxes & delivery. Site visit and installer charges are additional. GST @ 18% is chargeable.
PLEASE READ CAVEAT BELOW Accessories on offer only for our stove & fireplace customers

Fireplace Chambers for Fireplace Inserts
Fireplace inserts that are embedded in the wall require the construction of fireplace chamber from refractory bricks & ceramic fire board. The chamber insulates the rest of the wall masonry from distorting and maximises heat output in the room to be heated. Stoveindia offers chamber designing in easily understandable 3D free of charge to their clients. Refractory materials utilised to construct fireplace chamber ranges from Rs 20,000 to Rs 1 Lac depending on design/dimension. Materials can be sourced from StoveIndia or bought locally. Local mason/construction contractor can easily follow and build as per 3D drawings.
Chimney or FlueThe terms flue and chimney are often used interchangeably. The flue is the working part of the chimney, conveying the products of combustion safely to the atmosphere. The chimney includes the shaft within which the flue is housed. A flue works under negative pressure drawing the product of combustion from the appliance. A successful “chimney draw” is dependent on the following principles: - The difference in air pressure between the appliance and the top of the chimney. (created by the height of the chimney) - The difference in temperature between the appliance’s exhaust gas and the outside temperature. - The quality of insulation along the length of the chimney. - The route of chimney. (The straighter and more vertical the chimney the better). It is essential to choose a flue diameter that matches the output from the appliance. An adequate air supply is also required for the appliance to operate safely and efficiently.

WHY ARE WE SELLING THESE FLUES? these are well made mild steel pipes, welded, powder coated, 22 gauge, designed to fit into each other - the fitting is probably better than what a client can get done locally. But not necessarily, as we have seen several client installations that are very neat. Fabricating 3-4 meters of a steel chimney flue and a cowl however, requires the client to run around sourcing a steel pipe, getting hold of a steel cutter/welder, explaining what a cowl, bend or collar should look like - the cost in terms of time is probably more than the cost of the material and labor; and some clients just don't have the time or the inclination.

WHAT IS A SPIGOT? This is the Artemis Model and as in all our stoves the option to use the rear chimney/flue opening or top opening is available - what you see protruding out from the rear - cast iron ring - it's screwed on - so you can screw it on the top too and remove the round plate from the top and screw it on the back - doesn't affect the efficiency of your fire.
